John Cleese’s Home Sells to Craig McCaw
Sotheby's Listed Montecito Mansion at $28 Million
It was the Sotheby’s Real Estate team of Bob Lamborn and Lisa Loiacono who represented comedian John Cleese in the recent sale of his Montecito estate Stalloreggi to Craig McCaw, former husband of Wendy McCaw. The 15-acre, three-bedroom, 25-horse-stall home, with organic garden, was listed for $28 million and variously described in the Sotheby’s ad as a ranch, a world-class equestrian compound, and a plantation. It does have three two-bedroom apartments where employees could presumably reside. Stalloreggi means “king’s stables” in Italian.
