Thu Apr 23, 2009 | 12:00am

Besides the sunshine, sea breeze, and spring air, are you looking for yet another reason to take a leisurely stroll down State Street this season? Then put your walking shoes on, because this weekend, 30 different area dance groups will be strategically placed up and down S.B.’s main drag to celebrate Santa Barbara Dance Day, a series of enticing and unique public dance performances directed by accomplished local choreographers such as Robin Biso, Derrick Curtis, Trudie Olsen-Curtis, and Erin Martinez-all for your viewing pleasure.

The State Street spectacle, to be held on the nine blocks between Sola and Guiterrez streets., will run all afternoon-so you’re sure to encounter one of the multiple performances of each individual dance as you stroll from one end of the street to the other, enjoying all the sights and sounds to be seen as you go, from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 25.
