Donate Items for Terminally Ill and Their Families
For individuals and families experiencing the trauma of a life-threatening illness or grieving loved ones who have passed on, Hospice of Santa Barbara volunteers provide invaluable support and care-for free. A nonprofit, Hospice of S.B. relies on community donations to sustain itself. While money contributions are always welcome, the following are just some of the items that also are needed:
- Stuffed animals
- Old laptop computers
- Restaurant vouchers
- Disposable cameras for teen support group
- Books about grief
- Easy-Lift passes
- Digital voice recorders for Life Reminiscence Program
- Lavender eye pillows and neck pillows
- Handmade quilts
- Meditation and guided-imagery CDs
- Dinner for volunteer training nights (20-30 people)
- School supplies and school clothes (September)
- Christmas gifts for adults and kids (December)
