Last week I read a post on Craigslist from a woman whose mother had just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. One of her mother’s wishes was to see Brookes and Dunn in concert. The woman was looking for some inexpensive tickets to the sold out show at the Chumash casino. She lived in Bakersfield and that was a very do-able drive, but they had very little money and all the tickets were being scalped for outrageous amounts.

The story caught my eye and I sent the posting off to the Chumash and asked them if they could find it in their collective hearts to find a couple of tickets for this woman and her daughter.

Today I heard from the Chumash that they had indeed found a couple of tickets for them. I know this simple little favor will mean the world to this woman and her mother, and I’m happy that I could have a little part in this but think the credit goes to the Chumash.-Adam Tuttle
