• Beginning Sunday, November 1, the Foodbank of S.B. County will be hosting its annual Holiday Food Drive. Drop off any nonperishable food item in one of the signature Food Drive barrels, located outside most major grocery stores in Santa Barbara County. • Next Saturday, November 7, Lompoc’s Village Country Club (4300 Clubhouse Rd.) will host the 7th Annual Turducken Dinner Group’s Black Tie Affair. Participants will enjoy live music, wine from six Sta. Rita Hills wineries, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and a chocolate bar, and will have a chance to chow on a turducken-a stuffed boneless chicken inside a stuffed boneless duck, inside a stuffed boneless turkey. All proceeds will benefit the Vandenberg Village and Lompoc libraries. The celebration starts at 6 p.m.; tickets are $100. Call 733-3583 for more info.
