Kudos to the administrators of Santa Barbara City College for their imaginative and farsighted financing of the stadium press-box restoration. Who would have thought that at this time of financial crunch, this summer of an extirpated Continuing Education Program, that they would have summoned the creativity and courage to channel $1.3 million to this project that none of us could possibly have done without. I’m sure I speak for hundreds of Continuing Ed students whose lives had been enriched by that program in saluting our administrators for their wise use of diminishing funds.
