UCSB Student Recognized for ‘Best Event’

UCSB student Natasha Weidner will be recognized for her “Best Event” at the 2010 Campus Progress National Conference, which will take place in Washington, D.C., on 7/6. Her event, “Our Planet, Our Problem: Approaches to a Climate Solution,” took place last April and was hosted by the UCSB Environmental Affairs Board and focused on discussing grassroots solutions to climate change. Weidner, a second-year student majoring in environmental science, is the sustainable foods chair of the UCSB Environmental Affairs Board, and represented the group at the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen last year.
