Shawn Terris, a former County of Santa Barbara employee who lost her wrongful termination lawsuit against the county and retired CEO Mike Brown earlier this year, has to pay $33,325 in attorney’s fees to the county for the outside help it hired in defending the suit. The court ruled against allowing the county to recover for in-house attorney’s fees. Terris has appealed the dismissal of the suit.
