Stop Imperialistic Madness

Gas, food, and other essentials are going to go sky high because we no longer can control the source of petroleum. Balancing the budget will become more and more difficult, especially for a country that spends half of its budget on defense, which includes a nine-year-and-counting war PLUS maintaining 702 military bases throughout the world, referred to in Congress as our “footprint.” We’ve got big feet.

There are even more bases in the United States. If we cut out our military spending for one year, we’d balance our budget. We have by far the largest nuclear arsenal in the world and plenty of security measures to see us through this year. Of course, a lot of “important” people would not receive paychecks just as those of us who have lost jobs and been rendered homeless don’t. When will we stop our imperialistic (in the name of democracy) madness?
