Memorial Service to Honor UCSB Black Studies Scholar Clyde A. Woods
Woods, who was also acting director of the Center for Black Studies Research, died on July 6.
The celebration will begin with a New Orleans-style “Second Line” procession from Storke Plaza to Corwin Pavilion, where it will continue with guests sharing thoughts, memories, and stories about Woods. The service is co-hosted by the Department of Black Studies and the Center for Black Studies Research.
When: Tuesday, August 9, 2011, 11:15 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Storke Plaza (11:15 a.m.) Corwin Pavilion (12:30 – 3 p.m.)
