Man Robs State Street Bank
Handed Teller Note Demanding Money
The Bank of the West branch on the corner of Figueroa and State streets was reported robbed this afternoon. Police got a call at around 3:10 p.m. notifying them of the incident.
The suspect was described as an older Hispanic male who presented employees with a note demanding money. He had no visible weapon on him, and “It gets pretty generic from there,” Detective Jose La Torre said on the scene.
On-site officers declined to elaborate with details, and a police spokesperson was unavailable for comment.
