Hannah-Beth Jackson Announces Candidacy

Will Make Run at 19th District State Senate Seat

Former assemblymember Hannah-Beth Jackson announced to supporters on 10/18 she will make another run at a State Senate seat, this time in the redrawn 19th District, which lines up more in the Democrat’s favor. Jackson lost a tight, intense race to Tony Strickland in 2008. Strickland has been bumped out of the newly drawn 19th. Jackson will be facing off against Oxnard Harbor Commissioner and up-and-coming fellow Dem Jason Hodge and likely Mike Stoker, a Republican who lost to Das Williams for the 35th Assembly seat last year.
