In a new partnership with the Santa Barbara County Arts Federation, the Santa Barbara County Bowl will contribute 25 cents of all concert tickets to education outreach. Ginny Brush, executive director of the Arts Commission, said in a press release that the funds would be directed at rural areas in the county where art and cultural activities are less available. The first payment from the 2011 season, totaling $30,033.75, was administered on 1/ 11. The funds will be used for items such as materials and transportation that will bolster applications for other sources of funding.
