After communities in the Midwest were ravaged by deadly tornadoes and storms last week, Direct Relief USA began sending over $280,000 in medical aid and supplies to health facilities in Kansas and southern Illinois.

With a current available inventory of over $60 million in medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, Direct Relief USA has alerted nonprofit clinics and health-care centers in affected areas that they can immediately deliver medical supplies such as tetanus vaccines and chronic-care medications to impacted communities.

Additional shipments are being delivered to Missouri and Illinois, where more than 3,200 residents in heavily damaged communities like Puxico and Oak Ridge have been displaced by the storms.
