Roosevelt Elementary teacher David Ezell has filed a lawsuit against the Santa Barbara Unified School District in which he alleges that the district and Roosevelt principal Donna Ronzone harassed and discriminated against him based on his mental and physical disabilities.

Ezell — who said he suffers from ADD, anxiety, and depression, and has been with the district for 14 years and Roosevelt since 2009 — alleges that Ronzone sent him threatening emails and subjected him to more performance evaluations than other teachers. District spokesperson Barbara Keyani said she couldn’t comment on personnel matters.

This story was amended on 8/22/12 to reflect that the lawsuit is not a class action.
