Assistant District Attorney Jerry Lulejian said he was awaiting the results of a forensic audit of the now-bankrupt Lompoc Housing and Community Development Corporation before launching a criminal investigation into the politically connected nonprofit that, until going out of business this February, was the largest provider of affordable housing in Lompoc. Former Lompoc mayor Joyce Howerton and current City Councilmember Cecilia Martner sent a letter to Lulejian’s boss — Joyce Dudley — demanding a criminal investigation to determine where the millions of dollars of public funds invested over the years into Lompoc Housing went.
