Gay World

Can we please do something to expand the Gay Girl/Straight World column? (What the heck does this title mean anyway?) Once again I found myself wanting to read this week’s article but afraid that it was not going to be worth reading. Once again, Ms. Patterson offered a bland and meaningless description of our community. It read more like a narcissistic diary entry.

Rather than restating the same story (year after year) about her being out, what she has experienced in other cities, and then the schedule of parties in Santa Barbara, maybe Ms. Patterson could write about the gay men and lesbians in this community and what they have done and the cool things they are doing.
