“Guitar Chameleon” Andrew Jackson died of brain cancer earlier this week. The acoustic finger-style guitarist and Santa Barbara native had a tumor removed in 2010, but his cancer returned earlier this year, and it was inoperable. A mainstay of the S.B. music scene who often opened for national acts at SOhO, Jackson could no longer pick by April, and he gave away his guitars to good friends. Jackson leaves behind a 20-year-old-daughter. He was 53.
