An international student fell from an Isla Vista cliff early Saturday morning, suffering significant injuries that he is expected to fully recover from.
He was found at around 2:00 a.m. on the beach at the base of the cliff along Del Playa Drive. Firefighters carried him down the beach and back up to Del Playa, where he was loaded into an ambulance and transported to Cottage Hospital.
The cause of the fall is unknown, said a Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department spokesperson, and the student’s name, age, and hometown have not been released.
