Thrice-failed supervisoral candidate Steven Pappas finally paid Doreen Farr, supervisor of the county’s 3rd District, more than $712,000 in attorneys fees and interest. The money was wired on 3/14. Pappas contested the results of the 2008 election — which he lost to Farr — alleging voter fraud in Isla Vista. Farr successfully defended the case, and a Court of Appeal said Pappas must pay attorney fees as a result.
