A Santa Barbara man must register as a sex offender after pleading to possession of child pornography related to a 2010 arrest. Sean Sidney, 26, also pleaded to felony possession of ecstasy. Friday, he received 90 days in jail, three years of probation, and will be registered as a sex offender for life.
Detectives were alerted in 2010 that an image of child pornography had been posted on photobucket.com, and they eventually pinned the upload on Sidney. An investigation revealed he was in possession of various images of child pornography, as well as illegal drugs.
