An anti-trust lawsuit filed against the Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market Association has been amended, among other additions, to name new defendants who the plaintiffs allege are abusing their board positions for personal economic gain by limiting competition. Those are Todd Burkdoll, owner of Burkdoll Farms in Visalia; Diana Toumey, owner of Lily’s Eggs in Fillmore; Debby Takikawa, owner of Garden of ….. in Santa Ynez; Fred Ormonde, owner of Creekside Apple Ranch in Solvang; and Elizabeth Poett, owner of Rancho San Julian Beef. (Poett is the daughter of Santa Barbara Independent editor-in-chief Marianne Partridge.)
