At 34, Snowden brings to the wine industry unique insights and perspectives, having worked in various facets of the wine business, including ownership, production, off-premise sales, and as acting partner in the up and coming wine brand, Goodland Wines.
“The wine business is unique in many ways. Many operations are family oriented, which creates numerous issues, but we primarily help deal with transition of ownership and management across generations. Because it is such a capital intensive business it can be very challenging to make changes like growing production, replanting a vineyard or selling a business. We understand from first hand experience how these challenges ripple through the business and at the personal relationships-level, be it between partnerships or family.”
Snowden adds that the goal of Presidio Wealth Partners is to help their client-base make informed decisions at both levels. By helping clients to look at their business from a personal perspective, they can better ascertain if it’s working optimally for their own fiscal health. “By interfacing company operations and personal goals we help people identify what is important and how to achieve their goals for retirement, succession, and life,” Snowden says.
Snowden adds, “It is exciting to be a part of the Santa Barbara wine community. There are some tremendously talented producers here, as well as some of California’s most alluring vineyard designates. This region has so much to offer as both a consumer and a producer and I look forward to learning more about it every year. It seems like the food culture is catching up to wine, and providing the opportunity for Santa Barbara County to realize its full potential as a wine growing region.”
