Effective October 21, 2013, Child Support customers can download account access apps for their smart phones. Available free of charge through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the “CAChildSup” app allows iPhone, iPad or Android users to securely connect to their own accounts, make and receive payments, ask questions and access detailed program information.
In Santa Barbara County, over twenty-five thousand participants are served by the Child Support program, which facilitates the transfer of $30 million dollars annually. With the development of a State Disbursement Unit and the increased use of electronic funds transfers, today’s families are receiving their Child Support payments more quickly than ever. The smart phone apps are just the latest in statewide efforts to better assist parents on the go.
