Miles Unterreiner of Santa Barbara has been named a Rhodes Scholar and will attend Oxford University in England next fall. Unterreiner returned to Santa Barbara after receiving both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in history in 2012 and 2013 from Stanford University, according to Frontier Group’s website. Unterreiner joined the think tank in its Santa Barbara offices as a policy associate in August. The Rhodes Trust, a British charity, funds higher education for 32 Americans each year, among others, based on their merit, character, and commitment to the common good.
