Rebecca Sandoval, the woman who authorities said killed 68-year-old retired Santa Ynez Union High School teacher Linda Wall in a three-car collision, pleaded not guilty Friday to murder and vehicular manslaughter while under the influence. On December 19 around 2 p.m., Sandoval slammed her car into Wall’s Toyota Highlander while traveling eastbound at an “unsafe speed” on Highway 264 near Cuesta Road, according to the Buellton California Highway Patrol. Sandoval remains in custody on $1.13 million bail. She is scheduled to appear in court in Lompoc for a preliminary hearing on February 19, but she entered a time waiver through June. Prosecutor Paul Grecco said she faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
