Open enrollment for students in grades K-8 at Santa Ynez Valley Charter School happens during the month of February.
Santa Ynez Valley Charter School first opened its doors in September of 2000, as an independent charter school founded to work collaboratively to create a supportive, innovative, and academically challenging educational environment. SYVCS nurtures its students and prepares them for high school and beyond by offering K-8 Music, Arts and Garden Education Programs, as well as a multi-age buddy program. SYVCS is a thriving school of 200 students grades K-8 supported by a community of involved students, parents, and educators.
Children who are in kindergarten through 8th grade are able to enroll for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year. To be eligible for kindergarten a child must turn 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2014. To register, parents must complete registration paperwork and schedule a campus tour.
