Two UCSB graduate programs rank among the top 10 in their fields nationwide, according to U.S. News & World Report. UCSB’s materials program came in second, and its chemical engineering program tied for fifth among public universities. Also, UCSB’s College of Engineering was tied for 12th among public colleges. Dean Carol Genetti said the rankings confirm that UCSB grad students and faculty are “among the best in the world.”
