Outstanding Don Q by State Street Ballet

Where were you Santa Barbara? It was disappointing to see all the empty seats at the Granada Theatre Saturday evening when the State Street Ballet gave an outstanding performance of Don Quixote. I have attended ballets in London and New York and found this presentation to be their equal. The technical competence and energy displayed by the dancers and the elegant costumes and ingenious sets made for a rewarding experience. Admittedly, the music was not live, but this scarcely detracted from the show and made it possible for the tickets to be very affordable. I urge more of you to come next time and find out just how good our very own professional ballet company is.
