The Trio Balkan Strings, who were slated to perform tomorrow, Wednesday, May 18, at the New Vic Theater, have had to cancel their show on account of an immigration complication. After finishing their leg of Canadian shows, the Trio was barred from boarding a flight to LAX in secondary inspection by US Immigration, and were told to apply for new visas at the U.S. Embassy in Toronto. A detail issue held them back, even though they had toured the U.S. on previous occasions using 10-year visas in their Serbian passports. The Trio have apologized for the cancellation, and extended their gratitude to all who helped arrange the event, which would have been their first S.B. show.
