Goleta Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty
Goleta resident Kyle Barbre was arrested 6/21 and booked in County Jail on a single charge of animal cruelty. Sheriff’s officials believe Barbre, 21, fatally injured his one-year-old Chihuahua named Floyd after adopting him through Santa Barbara County Animal Services in April. During their investigation, officials recovered Floyd’s remains and conducted a necropsy before arresting Barbre at his work and interviewing him. After the interview he was booked in jail on $100,000 bail. His arraignment date has not been announced.
