Emergency and regular repairs to Santa Barbara’s busy freeways will cause delays of up to 15 minutes this week. An emergency pavement repair on a short stretch of Highway 101 in Montecito will close Lane 3 (the slow lane) on Tuesday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. This affects the area between Los Patos Way off-ramp and the Cabrillo Boulevard overcrossing.

In Goleta, between Turnpike and Cathedral Oaks near Winchester, overnight resurfacing work will cause several ramp closures. The SR 217 (Ward Memorial Boulevard) connector at northbound 101 will be closed through Friday from 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m., with a detour taking drivers to South Patterson and Hollister. Alternating lane closures on the 101 continue between Patterson Avenue and Winchester Canyon Road Sunday-Friday, 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Granite Construction is in charge of this $9.4 million project.

In Santa Ynez Valley, CalPortland of Santa Maria is repaving SR 154 between Cold Spring Bridge and Edison Street this week. Drivers can expect one-way reversing traffic controls to cause delays. The work takes place all day and night, with the exception of rush hour periods, approximately 5:30-8:30 a.m. and3:30-7:30 p.m. Work stops on Friday at 1 p.m. The 154 is being repaved in stages, with work on the $9.9 million project expected to be completed by next April.
