At just before 6 p.m. on Thursday, Santa Barbara Police Officers responded to a reported robbery at men’s clothing and sneaker shop 805 University in Paseo Nuevo mall.
Two men, whom police describe as Hispanic men in their early twenties, entered the store and attempted to steal merchandise, according to police. When an employee intervened to stop the robbers, one of the men allegedly pushed the employee and punched him in the face, and both suspects fled the scene. Upon arrival, officers searched for the suspects but were unable to locate them.
The investigation of Thursday’s robbery is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or have any information regarding the incident to call the Santa Barbara Police Department at (805) 897-2335.
