In a unanimous vote, Goleta’s City Council extended its emergency ordinance that temporarily blocks new gun stores from opening in the city on Tuesday, October 20. The original emergency ordinance passed on September 15 after a public outcry when Goodland Guns, one of two gun stores in Goleta, moved next to the preschool Here We Grow on Hollister Avenue. The ordinance will now expire on September 14, 2027.
