Santa Barbara County budget hearings for the 2007-08 fiscal year began on 6/11. After discussions among the Board of Supervisors about the county’s fiscal future, half the county departments gave presentations, with the other half presenting on 6/13. The supervisors are expected to begin deliberation on 6/15 on the $757.9 million budget, $189 million of which the supervisors are responsible for allocating.
