Santa Ynez Valley Artists’ Studio Tour

Two Day Event

When: Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Wildling Art Museum, 2329 Jonata, Los Olivos, CA

Cost: $25

Age limit: Not available

Categories: Exhibitions

Description: Eighteen Valley artists, working in a wide variety of subjects, styles and mediums, will greet visitors in their private studios from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those two days. The tour includes many well-known artists who have participated in previous tours, plus five new artists: Ted Goershner, Marilyn Simandle, Blake Rankin, Ron Guthrie, and Esther Munger.
This tour provides a great excuse to tour the Valley, sample wine, and see and buy great art by the Valley’s community of outstanding professional artists. Included in the price of the ticket, which is $25.00 per person or $40. for couples, will be a wine and cheese party at the Museum on Saturday, 4-6 p.m. where participants can mingle with the artists, see more examples of their work, and savor the current exhibition, “The Poetry of Nature: Paintings and Lithographs by Russell Chatham.” Proceeds from ticket sales and 20% of the sale of artists’ work that weekend, benefit the Wildling Art Museum, a museum dedicated to the art of America’s wilderness.
