• The historic Santa Barbara Courthouse (1100 Anacapa St.) is looking for volunteer docents. On Thursday, November 15, at 10:30 a.m., all interested parties are invited to the courthouse to enjoy coffee and meet other prospective docents in this informal introductory meeting. • Head on up to Ojai on Saturday, November 17, and Sunday, November 18, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the 23rd Annual Ojai Peddler’s Fair. Chaparral Auditorium (414 E. Ojai Ave., Ojai) will play host to the antique and craft fair and all proceeds will benefit Nordhoff High School’s music department. Call 403-4606.

• Volunteer applications are now being accepted for the 2008 Amgen Tour of California. More than 4,000 volunteers will be needed to staff the statewide professional cycling race, which takes place February 17-24 and runs from Palo Alto to Pasadena.
