Firefighters Dispatched to Fight Palmer Road Fire as Well

Another fire has sprung up in Santa Barbara County, this one near Palmer Road at Highway 101, in Los Alamos. According to Capt. David Sadecki, the Palmer Fire is at 25 acres and growing as of 3:54 p.m. The fire began just after 1 p.m. and was quick to grow to more than 10 acres. The cause of that fire is under investigation, and air tankers have been ordered to fight that fire. Equipment from La Brea Fire is being diverted to this fire. No structures were threatened as of about 3 p.m.
