Ever wonder what else happens in Ojai besides the pink moment at sunset? You’ll get a fine chance at a sampler of the best of the town’s food and wine at Taste of Ojai on Saturday, September 19, from 3-6 p.m., at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. Now celebrating its ninth year, the event, sponsored by and supporting the Ojai Rotary, funds grant programs that enable students to continue their educations and other organizations to continue to serve their communities. The food will come from a wide range of excellent purveyors, including Azu Mediterranean Restaurant and Tapas Bar, Movino Wine Bar & Gallery, and the Ranch House, about which Paul Newman said, “Cuisine is cuisine, but the Ranch House is original.” Wines will come from places like Summerland Winery, Old Creek Ranch Winery, and Casa Barranca, which was the first certified organic winery in the Santa Barbara region. Tickets are $60 in advance, $65 at the event. For more information, see tasteofojai.com.
