Throw the Bums Out of City Hall

City Hall needs a major change in leadership, most agree. At the same time, we should hold the present council members accountable for the mess we have there. In my view, the last thing we should be doing is electing anyone who allowed this mess to occur. Don’t be fooled. Council members up for election will just do more of the same, thinking you agree with their decisions. The mess will get even worse, if that’s possible.

City finances are in debt. Employee costs and pensions are out of whack with the real world. City services are at an all-time low. Yet the council spends its time and money on “traffic bulb-outs,” “blue lines,” fancy “brick crosswalks,” etc.

Santa Barbara needs a major change at City Hall and Steve Cushman is the only independent, experienced candidate for mayor. Let’s hold council members accountable by bringing new thinking to city hall, by voting for Steve Cushman. He knows how to get the job done for all of us.Ted Tedesco
