Bank Robbed in Vandenberg Village

Armed Suspect Takes Cash from Rabobank Branch

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives are on the lookout for an unidentified man who allegedly robbed the Rabobank in Vandenberg Village at around 3 p.m. this afternoon.

According to Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Drew Sugars in a press release, dispatchers received a report that a man walked into the bank on the 3700 block of Constellation Road, took out a gun, and demanded money from a teller. The suspect then reportedly left the building with an unknown amount of cash and was last seen on what appeared to be a mountain bike.

Witnesses said the suspect was wearing a blue, long-sleeved T-shirt, black pants, black shoes, a gold chain necklace, red, gray, and black fluffy gloves, an open-faced motorcycle helmet with blue and black stripes, and goggles with “Scott” on the side. The suspect also had a black backpack in his possession.
