BOWLED OVER

This Sunday, June 27, a collection of one-of-a-kind bowls designed by numerous local artists will be auctioned off as part of a fundraiser to help save Ojai’s Libbey Bowl. Restoration on the historic venue begins this fall. To purchase tickets to the auction, call the Ojai Valley Museum (130 W. Ojai Ave.) at 640-1390.

SPRING FORWARD

The Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts recently announced the appointment of the Granada’s new executive director Dr. Craig M. Springer. Springer beat out more than 100 applicants for the job and has formerly held positions at USC, Northwestern University, and the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.

SUMMER STORIES

From now through August 7, the Santa Barbara Public Library System (the Central Branch is located at 40 E. Anapamu St.) will host its annual Summer Reading Program for kids and teens. Participants will be eligible for reading rewards and prizes and will learn about weekly activities and performances. To sign up, visit your local library branch.
