Whole Foods’s 5% Giving Day To Raise Funds for S.B. Foodbank; Toy Donations Sought for Annual Kidz for a Cure benefit.

• On Wednesday, May 12, Whole Foods Market (3761 State St.) will host a 5% Giving Day benefiting the Foodbank of S.B. County. Five percent of all net sales during the day will be donated to the Foodbank, the mission of which is to provide sustenance to area citizens in need. Call 839-6959 for more info.

• Children and parents are encouraged to clean our their toy boxes this week and donate gently used playthings to the 3rd Annual Kidz for a Cure toy sale on Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m.-noon. The benefit, to be held at the Cancer Center of S.B’s parking lot (524 W. Pueblo St.), will help raise funds for pediatric cancer research. Call 898-2116 for more info.
