Art Lovers Flock to This Weekend’s Art in the Park, Art Along the Creek Festivals

• The town of Ojai presents the 33rd Annual Art in the Park, its yearly open-air juried art show. Area artists and art lovers will meet for viewings, socializing, and sales of everything from oil paintings to teak sculptures, and from hand-painted masks to assemblage art. Saturday and Sunday, May 29-30, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Libbey Park, Ojai Avenue and Signal Street. Free. Call 646-0117.

• Art Along the Creek displays art outdoors over the long weekend in a show to benefit the Mission Creek Habitat Restoration Project. Held at a new location across from Rocky Nook Park this year, the annual event features a gala reception on opening night, followed by two days of art, live music, and nature. Saturday, May 29, 5-7 p.m., and Sunday and Monday, May 30-31, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. 37 Mountain Drive. Call 966-6610.
