With a unanimous vote Monday night, the Goleta Planning Commission gave the green light to Somera Capital, LLC, for its proposed two-story, 20,000-square-foot medical-dental office building at 454 South Patterson Avenue. City staff found that effects of the building ​— ​which will sit across the street from Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital and close to other office spaces and condos ​— ​on noise levels and traffic congestion, and possible nearby cultural resources, could be negated.
