Goleta Candidates Pull Papers for November Election

Goleta City Councilmembers Michael Bennett and Roger Aceves have pulled papers to run for the November 4 election, according to the city clerk; Councilmember Paula Perotte, first elected in 2010 and also up for reelection, hadn’t announced her plans as of press time. Bennett and Aceves each earned spots on the council in 2006 and won reelection in 2010. Aceves also challenged 2nd District Supervisor Janet Wolf for her seat in June. The filing period for the Goleta election started on 7/14 and ends on 8/8. Those interested in applying — they must be registered voters living in city limits — can get paperwork at city headquarters at 130 Cremona Drive, Suite B.
