Police Hunt for Purse Snatchers

Santa Barbara police have released surveillance photos of two male suspects who reportedly snatched a 72-year-old woman’s purse on August 22. Police said the men followed the victim to her Westside home after she exchanged U.S. dollars for foreign currency at an upper State Street coin shop. After she parked her car but before she entered her home, the suspects stole her purse containing several hundred dollars’ worth of U.S. currency and Euros. The men may be associated with a silver-colored sedan, police said.
