Kudos to Capps

It is seldom I would write to express my gratitude for an elected representative. I am very conservative and have followed the politics in Congressional District 24 closely for the past 20 years since Santa Barbara is to my way of thinking the ideal American community: self reliant and independent.

Although I have not agreed with all of her votes or declarations, I write to say that Lois Capps has represented the District well in her beliefs and her values, which I believe we hold in common.

Thank you, Representative Capps, for your service.

Bill Kerrey is CEO of The James Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
