2/17, 2/19, 2/23: High School Boys Basketball: CIF Southern Section Play-Offs Five area teams drew first-round home games Wednesday. Division 2A: Santa Barbara High (26-1), the top-seeded team. 3AA: San Marcos (20-7). 4A: Carpinteria (16-9). 5A: Laguna Blanca (11-8). 6: Providence (15-6). Winners will advance to the second round Friday, followed by the quarterfinals next Tuesday. Dos Pueblos (15-13) plays its 2A opener on the road. Santa Barbara’s girls (25-2), after winning their first league title since 1988, have been chosen to play in the Open Division, comprising the top 16 teams in the section. They are seeded 14th and will play at No. 3 Chaminade on Saturday. Open Division contenders are guaranteed berths in the State Regionals. All games 7pm. $5-$8. Visit
