Those of us living in Santa Barbara County need to check to learn about our own local jail conditions.

If Salud Carbajal wants our vote for Lois Capps’s job, he’d do well to skip futurizing about issues at the federal level and get cracking on our local antiquated incarceration system, including eliminating an expenditure of $100,000,000 on a yesteryear new county jail (twice defeated 61 percent to 39 percent).
